Bug#829078: Temporary Solution to end-users

Our team discovered the issue is not present on the Debian used in
Ubuntu 16.04.1. 

30,000ft answer, use 16.04.1 until this Debian specific issue is
resolved. Refrain from Ubuntu 16.10 and apt-get'ing elasticsearch
