Quartz has a mechanism to automatically check for updates, it phones home
and transmits data such as the local IP, the OS version, and the JVM used.
This is enabled by default. The Debian package should disable it by default
to preserve the user's privacy (i.e. change the value of runUpdateCheck
to false in QuartzSchedulerResources.java).
