Hello,

thank you for the report. I believe this error message is caused by the
following entry in /etc/solr/solr-tomcat.xml.

<!-- make symlinks work in Tomcat -->
  <Resources className="org.apache.naming.resources.FileDirContext"
allowLinking="true" />

This appears to be obsolete for Tomcat8. When I remove this line the
error is gone but there is still another error about a
java.lang.NullPointerException.
