Tomcat 8.5.31 hasn't been released yet, but should be by the end of the
week if the ongoing vote passes upstream. I'll take this opportunity to
upload a fixed tomcat8 package. The actual fix is in the ant package and
will be uploaded before.

The Java ecosystem in Ubuntu 18.04 isn't going to be very stable until
the end of the year and the final switch to Java 11. Canonical is
working hard to make the transition as smooth as possible, but if you
aren't in a hurry to upgrade I think it's safer to wait a bit.
