thank you for the report. Could you please provide a sample map (without
confidential information ;-)) and instructions for reproducing (insert
child anywhere + type two letters?)

Also, is there anything suspicious in the log
(~/.config/freeplane/1.6.x/logs/log.0 or start from console)?
