I actually needed to copy the icudt51l.dat (from the .zip file) to icudt51{b,e}.dat
and sed the latter because those are archives that contains paths like "icudt51l/"
that needs to be adapted to icudt51b/ or icudt51e/ .
Sed'ing the .dat archive files makes the icupkg utility happy and able to extract them,
and everything build.
It's just not very clean and I can't guarantee this part won't break later on :)

Sure. I've pushed the changes on salsa.debian.org; I actually updated
the changelog as well... I guess I'm going to upload this new version
then so that we can confirm it builds fine on more architectures. I hope
that's what you meant.
