Unfortunately I have no way of debugging this issue because I would need
an NVidia card for that. I have never experienced such crashes with my
Intel based card. The Nouveau drivers are known to be buggy. If you want
to help with this issue then we need a stacktrace of the crash that
shows were it crashes. Presumably this issue is not related to
sweethome3d itself but to either java3d, the nouveau drivers and/or OpenJDK.
