Bug#919064: scala FTBFS: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/tonicsystems/jarjar/asm/commons/ModuleHashesAttribute

Hi Java team,

I realised that there is no comment on this bug yet.  Since several of
my packages got a "removal from testing warning": Can I help somehow?
Not that I had the slightest idea what to do about this bug but may be
you have some idea I could test?  I've seen that there is a new upstream
version (2.12.8) - may be I should give it a try but I have no idea
about consequences of exchanging a package that has lots or rdepends
currently and whether this would qualify as "transition".

Any ideas?
