OK, so the way it is in stretch is correct.

That plus renaming and retargetting the symlink.

Given that stretch has the same upstream version, just with a
different Debian revision, I think it makes sense to diff these
two and make the one in sid equivalent to the one in stretch
modulo changelog entries, and then upload that to buster as well.
