The version is higher, and apt will install the highest version it will
find. You need the pinning only to prevent the other packages from the
repo to be considered. (Though for the “lts” component this is only
things I would upload to Debian myself, were it not for the stable or
oldstable-backports-sloppy (closed 1 year after stable release, i.e.
before LTS/ELTS) upload rules.)
