My idea was to trim the version number a little because upstream isn't very
active these days. In such a case you can usually omit the git commit number
since you don't really need that degree of information. I have packaged the
latest version now from 16.09.25 which contains just three new commits since
January and called it 1.4+r20250916-1. I have pushed the new version to Git and
otherwise only made some minor changes. Let me know if that's ok for you. I can
upload the package anytime.
