scala-xml is the standard XML library for Scala: an immutable data model for
XML, an XML parser and serialization, and support for XML literals in source
code (the scala.xml.* API).

This package provides org.scala-lang.modules:scala-xml_2.12 (upstream version
2.3.0), cross-compiled for Scala 2.12. Scala libraries are not binary-compatible
across minor versions, so a per-series build (here _2.12) is required; it is
needed to build scaladoc for the scala-2.12 compiler. It is compiled directly
with scalac-2.12 (no sbt).

Part of re-introducing a modern Scala toolchain to Debian (RFP #1125161).
Build-dependency: scala-2.12 (ITP #1139642). Packaging:

I intend to maintain this within the Debian Java Maintainers team.
