Ahh, nice!
If all you want is pass on the packaging to us and not help maintain it,
then that's fine, but... Personally I don't do "sponsoring" as I
believe that in too many cases leads to badly maintained packages.
Personally I have no need particular need for that particular package at
the moment (and am already involved in maintaining 260+ packages) so you
will have to convince someone else to sponsor or adopt it.
If, however, you want to join our little team and help maintain the
package yourself (and hopefully also grow interest in helping out with
other Node and Javascript packages), then that's awesome!
Joining our team is a) joining our mailinglist and b) gaining write
access to work on our git's.
If you haven't done so already, join our list here:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-javascript-devel
Create an account at https://alioth.debian.org/ and request to join our
team at http://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-javascript/
When one of our admins have granted you membership of our Alioth team,
you should additionally request membership of
http://alioth.debian.org/projects/collab-maint/ and in your request text
mention that you need it to work in the pkg-javascript team.
Then you are almost there... You need ssh access to Alioth:
http://wiki.debian.org/Alioth/SSH
The part above about collab-maint above is a bit confusing: It is an
area that all Debian members by default have write access to. We want
it as convenient as possible for experienced developers to contribute,
even if that means a little extra confusion for newcomers. I sincerely
hope it didn't discourage you from joining... :-)
> I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.
...and I would be happy if instead you joined our team, we help you push
your git work, we maintain the packaging together, and I (or any other
in this team with upload rights) upload the results when ready. :-)
Kind regards,
- Jonas
