i'm worried about
* the experimental status,
* the dependency on libicu-dev,
* the .gyp looks chromium-ish, though it's easy to compile that extension.

The obvious suggestion would be to build that extension in chromium,
since it already includes a copy of icu (still ?), and libv8-dev provides
the needed v8.h
