this is because jquery-goodies-8 is a source package that bundles the
packaging for several jquery addons -- i agree that it's not a good
example for someone who wants to package a single new addon.

If you're looking for a single package that you might use as an example,
i offer my own jquery-timepicker package, at:

 git://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-javascript/jquery-timepicker.git

I've only recently started packaging javascript for debian myself (i
have done other debian packaging for a while now), so hopefully other
members of the team will chime in if this doesn't make sense as a model.
