I have now prepared packaging of most recent upstream 1.x.x release of 
Coffeescript - which should not break existing reverse dependencies in 
Debian, assuming the semantic versioning is properly handled.

...but it depends on Nodejs 6, which is inly in experimental so far :-/

I did not look yet into packaging the 2.x.x release of Coffeescript. If 
that requires new dependencies, then yes, it would be great if you (or 
others reading this) could help package those.  I will then upload 
Coffeescript 2.x.x into experimental for testing compatibility with 
reverse dependencies in Debian.
