node-babel_6.25.0+dfsg-13_amd64.changes REJECTED
Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2017 20:25:49 +0200 (CEST)
From: Thorsten Alteholz <alteholz at debian.org>
To: Pirate Praveen <praveen at onenetbeyond.org>
CC: Chris Lamb <ftpmaster at ftp-master.debian.org>

node-babel contains a directory .../traceur
according to LICENSE it is under Apache-2

@praveen: this should be mentioned in your debian/copyright

so I rejected your package

@praveen: you added: Copyright: [yyyy] [name of copyright owner]
Comment: name of copyright holder is missing

these lines are totally nonsense, so Chris rejected your package

@praveen: if the copyright/license is unclear, you need to find
          information to make things clear

The upstream repository (that of traceur, not babel) contains a file
package.json with a license-line (Apache-2) and author-line (The Traceur
authors). The file AUTHORS contains all persons who contributed and such
hold the copyright. Strictly speaking this list should be added to
debian/copyright, but it is fine to just add the main contributor:
Google (most contributors have a gmail.com address)

The github repository started 5 years ago and ended a year ago, so years
would be 2012-2016, which makes your entry:
 Copyright: 2012-2016 Google Inc.

As this almost corresponds to the line actually in your debian/copyright
I accepted the package now, but you might want to correct it in the next
upload.

  Thorsten
