Correct: The documentation files below docs/ in upstream source was 
pre-generated using the tool docco which is not in Debian.

Please avoid using the term "FTBFS" for anything other than "the package 
fails to build from source".

This Debian source package does not fail to build.

That said, I will consider improve the reproducibility of source 
documentation.  I really appreciate your close examination, but do not 
consider this a serious issue.

I am unaware that anyone has claimed copyright over the documentation.
