Indeed that's one option.

To gain some additional insights on this, I have started a side-project
that provides a "fancy view" of the Debian NEW queue with additional info,
filtering, column hiding etc.
A live prototype is here: http://212.237.56.209

For that, I hack together various data from publicly available information,
using this code:
https://salsa.debian.org/paolog-guest/ftp_master_fancy_new

Having the data in one place then makes it easy to query for useful info.

For example, I can query how many packages sit in the NEW queue with
maintainer set to pkg-javascript-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org (172).
Of those the standards_version is varied:
4.1.4 (19), 4.1.3 (78) ... 4.0.x (2).
And for many the vcs_git/browser fields are set to anonscm (118) rather
than salsa (51).
BTW of those 118, only 31 have been migrated to salsa.

So the backlog could also be due to something that we could improve from
our end.

Any ideas ?

Paolo

P.S. a previous message to the js-team mailing list on this topic was lost
for some reason ...
