It's fair to expect this to work, however you're supposed to get your
nodejs headers
from libnode-dev package, not by downloading them.
(still, i recognize it shouldn't fail).

I also tested a local install of node-gyp (installed with 'npm install')
> and got a segfault after the 'http 200' response.

I believe node on i686 is not supported and will segfault.
