Hi all,

I was intrigued by the recent announcement of an alternative to vscode:

(the ITP for the latter is stuck: https://bugs.debian.org/898259)

But also to package theia you'd need electron.

To get out of this stalemate, I prototyped a wrapper based on a Qt WebEngine webview:

It kind of works, with some nuisances.
The compiled executable is 30k + 800MB of JavaScript dependencies (but 350MB are from puppeteer that should be easy to exclude).
