Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying.

It often helps getting a message through when you use more words. :-)

Is it shell code, with a custom function "ll", perhaps?

If you are saying that your -3 package is 8 MB big, and do you perhaps 
check a locally built package?

Right now both -2 and -3 packages are there, and -2 is 8MB but -3 is 
less than 500 mB (but soon the -2 may disappear from the mirror, and you 
can instead check at snapshot.debian.net?
