Source: node-node-rest-client
Version: 3.1.1-1
Severity: important
Hi,
for some reason debci fails on this package, so I checked it,
only to discover many issues:
- it doesn't run upstream test suite, but another test suite
- it does useless things in debian/rules regarding debug.sh, test.sh,
and uselessly depends on dos2unix
- when properly setup, upstream test suite fails on debian (two failures)
- it is practically abandonned upstream, also it is old pre-es5 javascript style,
and source code is of mediocre quality.
- contrary to what the ITP #877646 announced, it is now a leaf package,
and not needed (as a dep or build-dep) by any other package
For all those reasons, instead of artificially keeping it alive,
I strongly suggest this package be removed from debian.
I'll open a RM bug if you are okay with that.
