[Pkg-javascript-devel] Bug#1144622: node-playwright: Permit to run tests with browsers shipped by Debian

Dear Maintainer,

Thanks for fixing #1135849.

This issue somehow looks like #1121651 but my request here is not to update plawright versio, but to support using the browsers shipped by Debian.

The src:vnu package invokes playwright to run tests and needs chromium for that.

However node-playwright doesn't seem to be able to use the chromium installation of Debian.

From what I understand playwright wants to download a specific version of the browsers, but the Debian buildd doesn't permit any download from the internet at build time.

Would it be possible that playwright uses the chromium shipped by Debian instead?

For now the package fails like this when I invoke "playwright test --project=chromium":

Then, when I invoke "playwright install" (which would download the browser from the internet) : It errors out like that:

Failed to install browsers
TypeError: $k is not a function
