[Pkg-julia-devel] Request to Join Project Debian Julia Team from Kawing Chiu (kawing-chiu-guest)

Hi Kawing,

Thanks for volunteering. I have approved your request to join the Debian
Julia Team. I encourage you to subscribe to the pkg-julia-devel mailing

So far, the only work done by this team has been to upload Julia 0.1 in
unstable.

The next move would be to upload a snapshot of upcoming Julia 0.2 in
experimental (until the final Julia 0.2 is released, at which time we
will upload it to unstable).

Also, we should start packaging the most popular Julia packages (like
those for graphics). For doing the latter, we should create our own
packaging helper. I think it should be a dh plugin (in the same spirit
than dh-python).

Depending of your degree of experience with Debian packaging, you may
want to pick up one of those tasks. Don’t hesitate to ask if you need
help or pointers to documentation. In addition to e-mail, note that I am
also present on irc.oftc.net under the nickname "sebastien".
