git is currently a "Recommended" package, which is higher than a
Suggested package, but lower than a hard Dependency.

According to the Debian policy:

“The Recommends field should list packages that would be found together
with this one in all but unusual installations.”

I think this pretty much match the requirement for git, since Julia will
typically be used with git, but can still be useful without.

Concretely, this means that it will be installed by default on all
systems, unless the user explicitly requires the contrary.
