I've just tried this on Jessie i386 now, after backporting dsfmt and 
utf8proc.
The build of julia 0.3.12-1 fails during during shlibdeps.mk with an 
undefined reference to '__fpgetprec', so we do need openlibm (>= 
0.4.1+dfsg-4~).

Peter, if you add this build-depends then I can simply sponsor your 
upload of 0.3.12-2 and won't even need to add my name to the changelog.
