I am going to work on the documentation today.  You can ask anything
about console-setup.

Maybe the keyboard and the font handling can be separated in two
directories.  It is possible to create two separate packages but if
possible I'd like to keep them generated by one common source package.
I think this will be more convenient to the non-Debian users of the
package.
