No, you don't.  I didn't realise that.

I don't remember what the problem was exactly, but it fails with some
of the keyboards in /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc.  With most of them it
works.

This is how I test all keyboards:

$ cd Keyboard/
$ make KeyboardNames.pl
$ ./kbdcompiler
