This is it indeed, although sed is not the culprit: dumpkeys attempts to
convert the composed UTF-8 characters back to an 8-bit charset at which
it defaults to iso-8859-1; loadkeys consequently fails to convert it
back correctly.  It should be okay for it to simply dump “compose '…'
'…' to U+…” lines instead.  This should make Pavel’s problem go away.
