[Pkg-kbd-devel] Bug#591146: kbd: could Priority be bumped to "optional"?

Hi,

As far as I can tell, before 2008 console-tools was the default
provider of console-utilies but kbd is the default now (since it
is the first alternative specified in console-setup’s Recommends).

Could kbd be made Priority: optional, then?  I am interested in
this because it would make it more obvious if some other optional
package conflicts with it.

Since kbd conflicts with console-tools, this would involve
making the latter Priority: extra.  And this is not urgent at
all; I just wanted to record the wish so it is not forgotten.
