Hi John,
exifrotate.cpp has not changed in KDE svn. So I reported
the bug upstream: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115168
While my _unskilled_ eye was unable to see a degeneration after
a lossy rotation yet. I agree that that this should be fixed.
Nevertheless I'll downgrade the severity to normal because
important
a bug which has a major effect on the usability of a package,
without rendering it completely unusable to everyone.
is a bit overkill here. Most cameras out the have no
sensor so the images are not autorotated at all. One
can also download without autorotate and use, as you
wrote, lossless kipi rotate later.

To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is
a koan. Profound to the user, unintelligible to the uninitiated.
You discover truth everytime you use it.
