Hello again,
you have closed the bug with the upstream version (0.8.4-1) with this
comment in the changelog:
 * Windows PPTP - makes wrong changes on /etc/resolv.conf
     fixed by upstream release (Closes: #359960)

The bug is NOT fixed, it still overwrites the /etc/resolv.conf, it's graver,
it even overwrites it before connecting to the remote server and so the whole
PPTP in this package is damaged and it also overwrites unrelated configs
(due to this i increment the severity to grave).

Here an example if i want to connect to my school, before resolving the
hostname of the vpn server it writes this in my resolv.conf:
