i'll do also something like a survey of the best applications that we can 
found on kde-apps. Unfortunately, many of them are too young, and need more 
popularity (tests) to be reliable.

klear is a good candidate, that we can add (RFP is  a bonus :) ).
kmediafactory seems to be interesting too (if we have a RFP we can add it).
MandDVD, suffers of the regular problem for multimedia application, they need 
application like mplayer, lame, etc ... We need to work with upstream to know 
if some alternatives exist or which functionnality we can lose.
