What worries me, are the crashes on reported with exiv2 0.10.

If it's really that bad, removing the users of libexiv2 0.10 in debian
is IMHO not the right solution for a stable release.
We'll (hopefully) read soon how Andreas describes the state of 0.10
versus 0.12.

AFAIK 0.9 did not change DB layout.

I would suggest: Let's give Andreas Huggel one day to explain
exiv2 status. If libexiv2 0.10 is no 'danger' for the etch users,
let's upload immediately to experimental.
