Hi Nick,
can't reproduce your problem. I did:
o install knemo on a host (for the first time)
o logout/in
o on login knemo setup dialog appears
o configured eth0 and eth1
o exit config dialog and got two igons in the systray
Can you list your steps that did not work for you?
You can e.g. create a new user and login there.
