hi, you're patch introduce gksu dependency that can be replaced by kdesu as well (i think synaptic line is just a typo error). About the icon, probably a false problem, a behavior that you have under non kde desktop. i'll take a look to have a more general solution without introducing gksu. cheers, Fathi
