battery-mode popup will not go away

Package: kde-guidance-powermanager
Version: 0.7.0-1
Severity: normal
When I take my laptop into battery mode, kde-guidance-powermanager pops
up a KPopup box saying as much. The popup does not go away, however, and
re-appears seconds later if I click on it.
I don't think this has anything to do with it, but the HAL version
reported below is incorrect as I compiled and installed git HEAD of
hal because I needed proper support for CD-ROM drives using libata.
