I have just picked up libgpod (0.4.2) from debian-multimedia and it is also available from sf.net.

kipi-plugins-1.3-beta now builds correctly with this version and produces the ipod export plugin:

checking LIBGPOD_CFLAGS... -I/usr/include/gpod-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include
checking LIBGPOD_LIBS... -lgpod -lglib-2.0


This now provides ipod export capability for photo's held in digikam, gwenview, kphotoalbum and showimg.

When you get a chance could you upload to experimental/ unstable.
