Thanks for your report.

digikam has had some issues with dcraw changing it's command line options, between releases :-(

As a result from digikam 0.9 onwards it now ships with an internal version of dcraw to ensure 
compatibility.

Might I suggest that you install digikam 0.9 from experimental and see if that fixes your problems.

The reason it's in experimental is due to the etch release and not the quality of the package.
