I doubt this bug is ever going to be fixed for etch. It's neither security 
problem and it only affects small number of torrents.

You can get etch packages for ktorrent 2.2.2 from 
http://ktorrent.org/index.php?page=downloads They are as much official 
backports as they can be because they were made by me. Now as 2.2.3 is 
knocking on the door, I'll try to get 2.2.3 to backports.org once it reaches
