kblueplugd should work with 2.4 too. At least when the python pkg it depends
on install a 2.4 version.

In case you paired before with this device, AFAIU:
o hcid stores the (link) keys. At least the 2 bt devies I have
that require a pin work like this. I was asked only once for
the pin
o Relevant info is probably in /var/lib/bluetooth/*/linkkeys
