is there any new information available about a release date of bug 677? As you 
know, there's an open bug in Debian, waiting for a new release 
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=579835).

@Mark: Would it be possible to patch Debian's archive with the fix of this 
bug, at least in experimental?
