Can you try running it in a debugger like gdb?
Just run "gdb kile" and then at the prompt type "run". Note: it's really slow. :)
Then, when Kile crashes, and your system still responds, you can type "bt| to get a backtrace, which could hold some useful information.

For me it does not crash, so I cannot test it.
