X-Mailer: reportbug 4.12.6
Date: Tue, 14 Feb 2012 18:57:26 -0600
Package: kde-config-gtk-style
Version: 1:1.1+svn5-4+b1
Severity: normal
I have had the same issue where I cannot reopen Firefox, Thunderbird or
Synaptic after the first instance. The applications persist in memory,
and It
takes a log out or system restart to use the applications again.
I was able to trace the first instance of this problem back to when I
installed
gtk-qt-engine and kde-config-gtk-style. I'm using KDE 4.4.5. I uninstalled
gtk-qt-engine and noticed some options were no longer available in System
Settings|Appearance|Gtk-qt-engine/style. However, the same problem kept
occurring. The problem did not go away until I uninstalled kde-config-gtk-
style.
