[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#721595: package not working

Here is a forum thread with someone where it is not working also.

The solution was to deinstall the kde networkmanager and to install wicd.

root at weide:/home/hugo# apt-get purge network-manager
root at weide:/home/hugo# rm -r /etc/NetworkManager/
root at weide:/home/hugo# apt-get install wicd wicd-gtk wicd-curses

I think i will test it now.
Is this really the only solution?
