Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Opening meld and selecting directory comparison and attempting to select a directory for comparison.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Constant segfault. Selected a different gtk theme to work around problem.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Using Adwaita theme resolves the problem. Using QtCurve theme yields similar segfaults.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
