It seems that those patches are unfortunately not enough to fix this
issue, because libav10 no longer provides avcodec_decode_audio3, but
requires applications to use avcodec_decode_audio4 instead.

I've asked libav for help with porting this and am removing the
fixed-upstream tag from this bug in the mean time.
