Hi Moritz! If libxine is going to be *removed*, can't you simply make libxine-
dev provide libxine2 stuff? In that way you will only need binNMUs for this 
packages. You normally add the soname to dev packages if you intend to provide 
more than one version at the time.

I'll wait for your reply before doing any change :)
