Thanks for taking care of it.

I think you mean: "can not"?
Some people in the qt-kde IRC channel could reproduce it yesterday, too.

Interesting. I never changed anything of the default audio settings
(since they were working). I have changed the priorities of the music
devices to the order as shown in my attached screenshot.
"alsa" was sorted somewhere in the middle and "pulse" is one of the last
devices. The default device was the "HDA ATI SB digital.." one, which I
also hilighted on my screenshot, it should use alsa!?
btw: I have used the "test" function for all devices, every device,
except of "pulse" are producing a working output!
Anyway with the new ordered configuration amarok is working like a charm :)
So what I do not understand now:
- what is wrong with the default configuration?
- not only myself seems to be affected
- which of the fu*** twenty backends is here involved which could cause
this error?
- is this a backend error or a amarok one? I just have got this problem
with amarok on manual song changes, hard to believe (first) that this is
caused by a backend error
- is it possible that amarok switches to the "pulse" backend on manual
song changes maybe?

Yes, everything comes from offical Debian repositories (except of
i386:skype).
